Hunting for Hand-Made in Ireland

I don’t travel often but when I do, supporting the local economy is always one of my goals; I thought I’d find some shops Ireland that sold locally made and/or locally designed items. Enjoy!

There are many, many sheep in Ireland so searching for woolen items seemed sensible. What better woolen item than a hat? 🙂 Designed by Áine from Áine Knitwear, the hat was purchased at Siopa na Bhfiodoi Shop in Dingle.

And continuing the homage to sheep, here are some actual hand-knit “plushies.” Mind you, they were quite expensive but when you get to end of your trip, you end up spending your leftover Euros (as my hubby might say) rather carelessly. Whatever – I love them! Again, purchased in Dingle at a shop across the street from the Dingle Pub (don’t remember the name… sorry!)
