Holy cow! How is it already November? It’s crazy! Between work and class and sewing and just living life, I have not be able to keep up with this blog. No surprise there, though.
In the midst of all the craziness, some really great things happened etsy-wise.
No Child Left Unbundled – NECTAR 2012
First, let me say that I am so lucky to have joined a team, named NECTAR (New England Crafters, All Regions) that keeps charity close to its heart. Our team leader, Alura from Moonspell Crafts, asked anyone who can create gloves, mittens, hats and scarfs to contribute whatever they could. These items will reach women’s and children’s shelters throughout New England.
As of a few days ago, the following Etsy shops have donated to this charitable, noble effort:
I was glad to make some scarves using some cozy flannel – it took me forever but finally shipped them to Vermont in the end of October. My heart glows to think that these scarves might offer some warmth to people in need. Thank you to Alura for coordinating this giving effort! Please stop by soon to see more photos…
